FIDIC GAM 2017:
From 30th September 2017 to 3rd October 2017, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Duyen – President of Vietnam Engineering Association Consultant attend Meeting of Leaders of FIDIC Member Associations, GAM 2017 and International Resilient Conference organized by FIDIC. Delegate team of the Association included Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung and Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung – Engineers of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 – PECC3 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In 2017, beside meeting of Leaders and Secretariat of Member Associations as usual, FIDIC organized the first Meeting of Presidents of Members Association with main topic on enhancing management of FIDIC, which is chaired by FIDIC President. In the conference, there were many comments in order to improve management and support for Association Members during operation.
Best Practice Forum – FIDIC 2017 was held on 1st November 2017 with topic “Existing methods and services of engineering consultant sector”. FIDIC Young Professionals also participated into the forum. Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung – young engineer, Deputy Manager of Environment Department – PECC3 presented “Assessment on impacts of natural flow alteration at downstream after building hydroelectric plant in Highland, Vietnam”. The presentation of engineer Pham Ngoc Hung got attention of participants.
Conference “International Resilient Infrastructure” was organized at Jakarta Conference Centre, with participation of more than 600 delegates, who are consultant experts, managers, leaders of Members Association and researchers. Speakers have highlighted challenges for the world, for engineering consultant sector when facing up with more and more frequent disasters. In addition, some solutions, which have been applying by global engineering consultant sector, have also been introduced in order to restrain disasters.
In the afternoon of 3rd November 2017, 2017 FIDIC GAM was happened and approved many contents: Minute of 2017
Annual Conference in Marrakesh; finance plan 2018, admission for new members, proposal for restructuring management and general action plan; voting Deputy Chairman, announcement about two new members of Executive Committee; plan for Annual Meeting 2018 in Berlin – German; and Annual Meeting 2019 in Mexico (anticipated) …. At the Meeting, delegates witnessed handover ceremony of alternate FIDIC Chairmanship from Mr. Jae – Wan Lee (Korean) FIDIC Chairman session 2015 -2017 to Mr. Alain Bente’jac (France) FIDIC Chairman session 2017 – 2019.
In the sequence events of Annual Meeting 2017, FIDIC presented FIDIC Award for projects/ works, which were nominated by Member Association, in Gala dinner.

ASPAC Annual Meeting 2017
The Meeting was organized in the afternoon of te 1st November 2017 at Jakarta Conference Centre (JCC), under chairmanship of AS Mr. Liu Lionbing (China) – ASPAC Chairman session 2015 – 2017. The Meeting approved plan for conferences and Annual Meeting 2018 at New Delhi, India; handed over alternate chairmanship to Indonesia.

FACE Annual Meeting 2017
Federation of Asean Consulting Engineers (mentioned in Asean Charter) includes 07 members from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar and Singapore, who are members of FIDIC and ASPAC.
In the afternoon of the 1st November 2017, the FACE Annual Meeting approved Minute of Meeting in Philippines, action plan 2018 and handing over FACE chairmanship from INKINDO President – session 2015 – 2017 to Mr. Widhoon Chiachitrong – CEAT President – session 2017 – 2019.
Meeting approved that Vietnam is host country of FACE in session 2019 – 202; in which VECAS is FACE member. The Meeting voted Mrs. Nguyen Thi Duyen to be FACE Vice Chairman – session 2017 – 2019.
