The course, “Overview and Principles for Effective Application of FIDIC Contracts; Typical Clauses in the FIDIC Red and Yellow Books 2017, amended 2022,” organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association in Ho Chi Minh City (March 6-7, 2026), covered the following main topics: an overview of the development process, structure, and key characteristics of FIDIC contract models; principles for effective application, focusing on the clauses in the General Conditions of Conditions of Contract for Constructions (Red Book 2017, amended 2022) and the Conditions of Contract for Plant & Design Build (Yellow Book 2017, amended 2022); dispute avoidance/adjudication mechanisms; and FIDIC guidance on drafting particular  conditions. The course provided participants with valuable knowledge. The case study section helped participants better understand FIDIC’s multi-tiered contract management mechanism.

Throughout the course, the Trainer consistently highlighted the differences between Vietnamese legal regulations and FIDIC contracts, emphasizing the need for appropriate application, such as EPC and turnkey contracts, quality management processes, and construction contract dispute resolution mechanisms. At the same time, changes under the new Construction Law (Law 135/2025/QH15) were discussed to ensure participants were aware of these changes when using FIDIC’s contract forms. At the end of the course, participants received Certificate issued by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association.
