On October 28, 2023 in Hanoi, the course according to the FIDIC Yellow Book 2017 (27 & 28) organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association was completed. This is a contract model applicable to the type of contract in which the Contractor “Designs – Build and supplies Equipment” based on the Employer’s Requirements, commonly applied in countries around the world and Vietnam.

The training course focused on the general structure of FIDIC contract forms, principles of effective application, and a focus on the General Conditions Contract for Plant, Design – Build (Yellow Book 2017), Dispute Avoidance/Adjudication mechanism, FIDIC’s guidelines when drafting Particular Conditions…During the course, the contents of EPC contract, construction quality management, construction contract dispute settlement… in accordance with Vietnamese law were always noticed by the lecturers for the differences with FIDIC contracts, which should be considered when applying to EPC contracts. The Amendments 2022 to the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant, Design – Build for the 2017 Yellow Book were promptly updated to the participants.
