On February 21, 2025, the FIDIC Contract course was jointly organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (VECAS) and Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO.JSC) with the participation of most of CONINCO’s senior management leaders and staff directly involved in contract management, project management consulting, construction supervision… The course was directly compiled and presented by the President of the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association, Nguyen Thi Duyen.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the course, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong – Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized that with the characteristics of a leading consulting firm in Vietnam, approaching many large domestic and foreign projects like CONINCO, mastering international standards and understanding the terms in the FIDIC contract is a necessary requirement to help CONINCO better manage large projects, thereby optimizing benefits and minimizing risks. The course not only improves personal skills but is also a strategic step in building a strong leadership team, ready to meet the strict requirements of large domestic and international projects.

CONINCO is a company that has been performing many project management tasks, construction supervision, design… in many large projects with different funding sources, including ODA. Therefore, the objective of the course “Overview, principles of application and some Typical Clauses of FIDIC Contracts” is to help key staff of CONINCO understand the nature and grasp the roles and responsibilities of the Employer, Contractor, Engineer/Consultant in different FIDIC contract forms, which will be useful for bidding, contract – project management, and support for Employer in projects using FIDIC Contracts.

During the course, many contents of the FIDIC Contract were related by the Lecturer, noting the legal regulations and practices in Vietnam (such as the roles and responsibilities of the Parties to the Contract, acceptance procedures, payment, Works warranty/DNP, settlement of Claims and disputes, etc.). Many practical questions raised in the course were answered and discussed satisfactorily by the Lecturer.

At the end of the course, the President of VECAS awarded certificates of course completion to CONINCO leaders and staff.
