On the evening of September 14, 2021 (11:00 CETS), the Association’s President Nguyen Thi Duyen and General Secretary Hoang Ung Huyen attended the online 2021 FIDIC GAM, chaired by the FIDIC President for the term 2019 – 2021 – Mr William Howard. Eligible Member Country associations globally participate to exercise their rights and responsibilities with respect to FIDIC activities.
Delegates listened to the annual performance report of FIDIC CEO Dr Nelson Ogunshakin and the annual financial statements, annual audit, announced the results of election of 02 new members of the Executive Board…Approved the report, although Despite great difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FIDIC’s Board of Directors and staff have done many remarkable things, achieving many important achievements, including the FIDIC Strategic Plan 2020-2024; organizing many online seminars and conferences that have attracted a much larger audience than in previous years; improved governance and completed changes to FIDIC regulations, restructuring of the Working Committee, regionalization, certification program…

The GAM unanimously approved many contents as prescribed in the Statutes of FIDIC: Minutes of the Annual Meeting 2020; Approval of Budget 2021-2022/Subscriptions 2022; Election of New Member Associations (Costa Rica); Recognition and Renewal of Affiliate membership; Exclusion of Members Associations due to their failure to pay membership fees in accordance with the FIDIC’s Statues for many years…
At the GAM, the participating Member Associations elected the President of FIDIC for the term 2021 – 2023 and two Vice Presidents. Mr. Anthony Barry, Australian has been elected as the newest President of FIDIC.
Prior GAM, FIDIC held a President Meeting and announced FIDIC’s 2021 awards.
