On the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (December 13), the Meeting of Standing Committee of VECAS of at the end of 2019 was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Design Consultant and Investment of Contructions One Member Limited Liability Company – Ministry of Defence. The conference discussed, analyzed and evaluated the Association’s activities in 2019 and commented on the VECAS’s 2020 operation plan.

The report of the Standing Committee of the Vecas presented by General Secretary Hoang Ung Huyen summarized and analyzed key activities in the fields of building and developing new members; suggestions on making legal policies; training on FIDIC contract form, fostering professional knowledge; test and consider granting construction practice certificates to individuals; carrying out ministry-level scientific and technological tasks; organization of translation and publication of Vietnamese-English bilingual FIDIC contract form 2017; organizing conferences, scientific seminars and international cooperation.

In 2020, the VECAS’s activities focus on preparing and organizing the 6th term Congress, expected in August; perform duties as president of ASEAN Association of Consulting Engineers (FACE) for the term 2019 – 2021; actively contributing to the development of relevant laws and policies; consideration and issuance of practicing certificates to individuals of the Association; training on FIDIC contract form; Perform scientific and technological tasks.

The Meeting of Standing Committee  unanimously approved the operation reports and plans for 2020, admitted three new members, organized the Executive Committee Meeting in March 2020, and approved the list of the meeting preparation committee VI of the VECAS.
