On 23/6/2016, at office of the Vietnam Engineering Association, Mr. Nguyen ThiDuyen – President chaired meeting of the Steering Committee 1st session 2016. Participants included members of the Steering Committee.

Participants listened to report of Mr. Hoang UngHuyen – General Secretary about operations of the Association from meeting dated 10/2015 of the Steering Committee until now and operation plan in 2016 of the Association as well operation plan in the near time. Members of Steering Committee discussed and appreciated operation of the Association in the past time; agreed operation strategy of the Association as per proposed by the Steering Committee and plan for meeting and conference in 2016.

To utilize advantages of the Association being member of engineering consultant organizations such as FIDIC, FIDIC/ASPAC and FACE, in the next time, the Association shall develop and organize training courses on FIDIC contract sample in Viet Nam, publish Vietnamese versions of FIDIC contract samples in Vietnam under FIDIC’s permission. The Association shall initiatively contribute comments to drafts of legal documents of Government, relating to construction activities as well construction consultant activities. It should also cooperate and pay attention to revision of expenditure rates in project management and consultancy &investment for construction building.

Participants agreed and approved operation plan and expenditures of the Association in 2016 and list of new members.
