Implementing the annual work program, the Association’s Standing Committee Meeting (expanded) was held on the afternoon of May 6, 2022 at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Hotel, Pleiku City – Gia Lai. The meeting was honored to be attended by Mr. Nguyen Ba Thach, Director of Gia Lai Department of Construction, and discussed about construction consulting for state management in construction investment activities. Delegates attending the Meeting of the Standing Committee (expanded) gave opinions on the report on activities in 2021, the program in 2022, admitting new VECAS’s members and some other contents of the Association by Dr. Tu Duc Hoa, Vice President present.
The report of the Association’s Standing Board summarized and analyzed key activities in the context of the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in the following: building and developing new members; giving advice on the development of legal policies; training FIDIC contracts, fostering professional knowledge; testing and granting construction practice certificates to individuals; examination in service of granting architectural practice certificates; organize and certify continuous development activities for practicing architects; perform scientific and technological tasks and economic career projects assigned by the Ministry of Construction; organize meetings of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Standing Board; organize the award for the quality of construction design “VECAS AWARD 2021”; scientific conferences, legal knowledge dissemination…
After the discussion on the VECAS’s activity report, Mr. Nguyen Ba Thach, Director of Gia Lai Department of Construction spoke highly of the fact that the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association held a Standing Committee Meeting with the participation of the Leaders of construction consulting organizations and enterprises across the country in Gia Lai; highly appreciated the activities of the Association in terms of contributing to the formulation of legal policies, international cooperation and other activities. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Ba Thach hoped that the VECAS would be interested in organizing conferences in the Highlands region in order to strengthen coordination between local state management agencies and the VECAS.
