On 10/11/2016, the Steering Committee of the Association – session V (2015-2020) held meeting in order to discuss and assess activities of the Association in 2016 as well prepare operating plan in 2017.

President of the Association, Mrs. Nguyen ThiDuyen was chaired the meeting with participation of 17 members of Steering Committee.

Mr. Hoang UngHuyen, General Secretary of the Association, reported summarily activities of the Association in 2016 as well some operating plans in 2017 for consideration and agreement of members of the Steering Committee.

Members of Steering Committee discussed, assessed and appreciated that in 2016, the Association operated effectively, in line with orientation, and utilized advantages of the Association and made great contributions to establishing legal documents; Steering Committee and Standing Committee implemented seriously regulations and resolutions of the Association.

Participants of the meeting agreed and approved operating plans in 2017, which included: combination of meeting of Executive Committee in 2016 and meeting of members in early of 2017; in regard international cooperation, it is principally agreed that the Association shall host the Face Conference by March 2017 in Hanoi and Conference regarding application of FIDIC contract in Vietnam and assign delegate teams of the Association to participate into meetings and conferences of international organizations, where the Association is an association member.

The Association strongly agreed to continue translating and publishing FIDIC contract sample and hold training course on FIDIC contract sample in Vietnam, professional training courses for issuing practicing certificate in construction consultancy; to prepare professional courses for ASEAN engineers and to implement tests and issuance of practicing certificate in construction consultancy for members of the Association.

Regarding emulation and reward, the Association agreed to award of annual quality consultancy and FIDIC annual award for members of the Association.

The meeting also agreed that Mr. Nguyen Du Tien, Vice President, Head of Professional Policy Department resigned from Director of Development Consultancy and Training Centre; it is also agreed to assign Mrs. Pham Thi Thu Hang – Vice Director to be Director of Development Consultancy and Training Centre.
