“FIDIC ASIA – PACIFIC CONTRACT USERS’ CONFERENCE” organized by FIDIC annually in 4 representative areas globally to disseminate, exchange and acknowledge the ideas of organizations and experts who regularly use the form FIDIC contract. This year, the conference ” FIDIC ASIA – PACIFIC CONTRACT USERS” was held on June 25-26 in Hong Kong with the participation of FIDIC CEO, Nelson Ogunshakin OBE and Contract Committee, FIDIC Task Groups, leading experts, Lead Procurement Specialists of multilateral Development Banks such as WB, ADB, JICA and FIDIC contract users in Asia – Pacific.
The conference was heard and exchanged from the Contract Committee of FIDIC and the Task Groups of FIDIC, as well as advisers, leading experts and Users on all major developments and outstanding aspects. of FIDIC standard contract forms – 2017 version

At the conference, the Lead Procurement Specialists of WB, JICA and ADB shared the policies on financing, bidding and using FIDIC Contract forms in projects funded by banks; in which, WB will use 2017 FIDIC Standard Contract forms from July 2019 on the whole WB bidding system.

On this event, President of the VECAS Nguyen Thi Duyen presented to the FIDIC Chief Executive Officer – Nelson Ogunshakin OBE the 2017 Vietnamese-English Yellow Book which was Complete translation and publishing by VECAS in Vietnam under the agreement with FIDIC. Mr. Nelson Ogunshakin OBE was very pleased and introduced at the seminar about the 2017 Contract form published in Vietnamese – English and hoped that VECAS will complete the publication of the 2017 Red Book, the 2017 Silver Book Bilingual in 2019.
