From 22/9/2016 to 27/9/2016, International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) and FIDIC Asia-Pacific Member Associations (ASPAC) held annual conference 2016 in Marrakech city, Morocco.

Vietnam Engineering ConsultantAssociation assigned delegation team headed by Mrs. Nguyen ThiDuyen- President of the Association to participate into the conference.

President of Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association participated in DNS conference (Presidents, General Secretaries of Associations of FIDIC members) chaired by FIDIC Secretariat. DNS conference discussed about general action plan of FIDIC by the next 5 years (2016-2020) and executive solutions proposed by FIDIC Management Board: plan to enhance efficiency of operation (Management Board and administration), to improve value of services and role of FIDIC as well Associations of country members in sustainable development.

Team of the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association  also participated into FIDIC Business Forum discussing about services in consultant sectors; young professional management training programme; sustainable development, capacity improvement, integration, risk management, contract, service business.

On 20.9.2016, FIDIC annual Conference was opened with participation of FIDIC President, President of Moroccan Federation of Consulting Engineers, Mayor of Marrakesh city council and representatives of nearly 100 Associations from country members.

In the evening dated 26/9/2016, FIDIC Member Association enjoyed the Gala Dinner. FIDIC presented annual Awards to FIDIC consultant products; there were 54 projects proposed by 14 Member Countries and FIDIC selected 6 ones for excellent awards and 15 ones for award of merit to be presented in the Gala Dinner.  For information of proposed projects and awarded projects, please see websites:

Conference of leaders of general association member (GAM) dated 27/09/2016 agreed reports of FIDIC conference 2015, annual report 2015-2016, consideration for registration of new members (official members and associate members), financial plan/ annual expenditure 2017, 5-year operation plan 2016-2020; revision of code of ethics – FIDIC, voting for next President, young professional engineers; voting result for 02 new members in FIDIC Executive Committee – 2016.

Within the annual FIDIC conference, President of Vietnam EngineeringConsultant Association discussed with FIDIC Secretariat about training courses on FIDIC contract in Vietnam.

Moreover, President of Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association also participated into annual conference of FIDIC Asia Pacific Member Association (ASPAC), which chaired by ASPAC President at Marrakech Conference Centre.

FIDIC and ASPAC annual conference – 2017 shall be held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
