With the support of FIDIC, the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association organized 2 Training courses on FIDIC Contracts Management and Administration in Hanoi (20-21 November 2018) and Ho Chi Minh City (23-24 / 11/2018). The training provided an opportunity to update and improve essential knowledge for regular participants in FIDIC standard contract management; It focuses on the contract mechanisms, project management features of the FIDIC contract, elaborates on the most practical possible methods of acceptance. Content The training course, basically based on FIDIC’s “Red Book” and “Yellow Book”, published in 1999, updates the distinctive features of the “Red Book, Yellow Book”, published in 2017. At the same time, the most important steps in the preparation phase of the project, preparation of the Conditions of the contract to suit the practical conditions are also introduced by the lecturer.
The training was conducted under the FIDIC Module 4 program, which was developed by FIDIC’s FIDIC International Instructor Zoltan Zahonyi, who is chair of the FIDIC Contract Committee. Attending the training course were engineers, architects, lawyers, leaders and specialists from consulting firms inside and outside the Association, of the investors, project management units, corporations. Vietnamese and international construction contractors, law firms, audit firms and other organizations working in Vietnam and abroad.
Department of Public Procurement- Ministry of Planning and Investment and Construction Economics Department – Ministry of Construction also sent leader and specialists to participate in the training.
At the end of the training, the participants were given a certificate of completion of the training program provided by FIDIC and the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association.
