The FIDIC Contract training courses in the form of Construction Contract Conditions 2017 (Red Book 2017) was organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (VECAS) at Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City ( 03th – 04 th) and Movenpick Hotel, Hanoi (9th – 10th) in December 2020 with nearly 90 traineers from consulting firms, construction contractors, clients… brought Many useful and important knowledge is to correctly understand the FIDIC Contract forms, the principles applied under the FIDIC guidelines. Along with the documents compiled by the lecturers, the participants were provided with 01 contract form (Red Book 2017 bilingual Vietnamese – English) compiled and published by VECAS under the agreement of FIDIC.
With practical experience and knowledge of construction law and FIDIC contract dispute resolution and FIDIC Contracts, VECAS’ President Nguyen Thi Duyen directly presented the course content, noting the issues. Care should be taken when applying the FIDIC contract form to use in accordance with the current regulations of Vietnam. The training course not only focused on the general structure of FIDIC contract models, principles of effective application and the focus on the 2017 Red Book General Conditions, dispute arbitration mechanism…; At the same time, the case studies and all the trainees’ questions were satisfactorily answered by the lecturer.
At the end of the course, participants received a certificate of completion (bilingual Vietnamese – English) from the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association
With the success of the training course, Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association continues to hold in 2021 with many different topics on FIDIC contracts.
