Performing the task of science and technology to issue the code RD 02-21, on the morning of May 6, 2022 at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Hotel, Pleiku City, Gia Lai province , Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association organized the Workshop “Research and analysis of main contents on general and specific conditions of turnkey contract in construction investment in Vietnam”. Leaders of the Association, members of the Standing Committee, Executive Board of the Association, Leaders of Member firms, experts attended and discussed after presenting the presentation of the task leader and members of the research team.

Science and technology task code RD02-21 is chaired by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association to perform under the contract with the Ministry of Construction. The research team analyzed mainly on the basis of the provisions of the General Conditions of Contract for the EPC/Turnkey Project of FIDIC, second edition (2017). The concept of turnkey contract appeared in legal documents before the promulgation of Construction Law No. 16/2003. However, up to now, there has not been any form of contract issued by the state management agency for this type of contract. At the workshop, the issues that need attention and need to be amended/added to the provisions of the General Conditions of the FIDIC contract in the Particular Conditions in order to be consistent with Vietnam’s regulations were analyzed and proposed by the research team. and pay attention to FIDIC’s guidelines when using, especially domestic projects and applying BIM technology.
