On the morning of June 7, 2023 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association held a seminar to discuss amendments and supplements to legal policies on fire prevention and fighting in order to gather recommendations and proposals to remove obstacles and difficulties in fire prevention and fighting activities in current Projects and Works.

 

Attending the seminar were leaders of Construction Management Department – Ministry of Construction, leaders and experts of Vietnam Fire Prevention and Rescue Association (VFRA); Leaders of the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (VECAS) and experienced experts in fire prevention and fighting consulting from the Association’s Member units, the agency in charge of drafting QCVN 06:2022 is IBST.

The content of the seminar focused on suggestions for amendments to legal policies on fire prevention and fighting, including: Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, Decree 136/2020/ND-CP of the Government detailing a number of articles and regulations. Measures to implement the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and the Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, National Technical Regulation on Fire Safety for Houses and Works (QCVN 06:2022/BXD).

Attending experts gave many opinions and proposed solutions to propose state management agencies to consider amending and supplementing some problems and inadequacies in the legal regulations on fire prevention and fighting current fire fighting system such as: decentralization for approval of fire prevention and fighting designs, mechanism for acceptance of products associated with construction works, inspection of materials and components, regulations on consulting in service business establishments. fire prevention and fighting service, certificate of training in fire prevention and fighting knowledge.

For QCVN 06:2022/BXD, the main problems and proposed solutions are related to regulations on legal capacity for fire-resistance design of steel structures, calculation of fire-resistance limits of steel structures, grade design. compensation gas and some other specific content.
