March 16, 2024 in Hanoi, 2 day training course on FIDIC Contracts “Overview and principles of effective application; Typical Clauses according to FIDIC Red Book and Yellow Book 2017 ” organized by Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association have been completed.

The course focuses on introducing an overview of the development process, structure, main characteristics of FIDIC contract forms, principles of effective application and a focus on the Clauses in the General Conditions of Conditions of Contract for Construction (Red Book 2017) and Conditions of Contract for Plant, Design – Build (Yellow Book 2017), Dispute Prevention/Adjudication mechanism, FIDIC’s guidance when drafting Particular Conditions…In the course, The contents of EPC contracts, construction quality management, construction contract dispute resolution… in accordance with Vietnamese law are always noted by lecturers, differences with FIDIC contracts, which need to be considered when apply accordingly. FIDIC’s latest amendments in 2022 for the 2017 Standard Contract Forms have been promptly updated to participates.

In the course, a typical Case Study on DAB mechanism and multiple contract management (Red Book, Yellow Book) according to the 1999 version in the same project helped participates understand more about this mechanism according to FIDIC.

The end of course, participates receive a Certificate of course completion in Vietnamese – English issued by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association.
