On March 21, 2026, the BIM Manager course (BIM Management for Projects) organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association concluded after participants completed their final exams.

BIM is now a requirement, not just a recommendation, under the Construction Law No. 135/2025/QH15 (effective from July 1, 2026).

The course aims to support and equip learners with the necessary knowledge to effectively plan and manage the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction projects and:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a BIM Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Know how to identify appropriate BIM application objectives and develop an effective BIM implementation plan for the project.
  • Understand the Vietnamese BIM standards (TCVN 14177 according to ISO 19650) and how to apply them to information management.
  • Understand the working protocol, common data environment (CDE), and how to collaborate in managing BIM data from the design and construction phases to operation.
  • Know how to compile and manage BIM documents, workflows, and select project support tools.
