The 3-day BIM Coordinator course (6-8/12/2024) organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (VECAS) opened on the morning of December 6, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City. This course is built based on the decisions, general and detailed instructions of the Ministry of Construction announced (Decision No. 348/QD-BXD dated April 2, 2021, Decision No. 347/QD-BXD dated April 2, 2021); Combined with the research, practical, BIM teaching experience of the Trainers and the use of technology and software for practice during the study period supported by Autodesk.
The main objective of the BIM Coordinator course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, implement, coordinate and effectively manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects in construction projects. Specific objectives of the course include:
- Understanding of BIM concepts, standards and processes according to ISO 19650 and BIM decrees, decisions, circulars and guidelines in Vietnam
- Understanding of collaboration processes and protocols based on BIM protocols as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate on CDE with the project team.
- Knowledge of BIM software and tools, including practical experience in using BIM software to master model initiation, synchronization and coordination.
- Ability to set up and manage BIM Projects, control conflicts, collaborate and ensure quality control.
- Awareness of the latest technologies in automation, AI in the construction field.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by VECAS upon passing the final exam.
