On the afternoon of September 13, 2025, the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association awarded the Certificate of Completion of the FIDIC Short Form of Contract 2021/Short Form of Contract course to the participants attending the course in Hanoi. Previously, a similar course was held in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 2-day course includes an overview of the development process, structure, main characteristics of FIDIC Contract templates, principles of effective application, and focuses on the Clauses in the Green Book/FIDIC Short Form of Contract published for the second edition in 2021. This is a type of contract guided by FIDIC that can be applied to all scales of project without requiring many contract management resources and with low risk, and can replace the Red Book and Yellow Book 2017.

The Short Form of Contract 2021 is organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association to be translated and published in Vietnamese under the agreement of FIDIC, to be completed in August 2025. And this is also the first training program in Vietnam on this type of contract template.

During the course, the content of regulations that need to be noted when applied in Vietnam such as EPC contracts, quality management, construction contract dispute resolution, etc. are always emphasized by the Trainer to be considered when applying for suitability. At the same time, case study real situations related to FIDIC contract terms has helped participants better understand the knowledge learned.
