On the afternoon of October 5, 2026, Governing Board Meeting of the Federation of ASEAN Consulting Engineers (FACE) took place in Manila, Philippines. The meeting was attended by official national member associations: the National Association of Indonesian Consultants (INKINDO), the Consulting Engineers Association of Thailand (CEAT), the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM), the Council of Engineering Consultants of the Philippines (CECOPHIL), the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (VECAS), the Myanmar International Consulting Engineers Group (MICEG), and the Consulting Engineers Association of Timor-Leste. The Consulting Engineers Association of Timor-Leste became a new national member of FACE in 2026, following its admission as a new national member of FIDIC—a move approved at the 2026 FIDIC Annual Conference held in New Delhi, India, in September. Under the FACE Charter and Regulations, the FACE Governing Board comprises the chairperson of each national member organization along with one additional representative.
Chaired by Mr. Anuar Aris—FACE Chairman for the 2025–2027 term and President of the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM)—the meeting approved FACE’s programs and work plans. Key discussions focused on FACE’s participation in the ASEAN Technical Working Group on the Mobility of ASEAN Engineers (ASEAN TWG–MAE), as well as efforts to encourage full participation from other ASEAN member nations and foster collaborative activities among FACE members.
On this occasion, members of the FACE Governing Board attended the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Council of Engineering Consultants of the Philippines (CECOPHIL) at the invitation of the CECOPHIL President.
