The annual FIDIC Project Awards—a key event within FIDIC’s Global Infrastructure Conference—recognize and showcase the achievements of member engineering consultancy firms and their clients worldwide. These awards highlight the significant impact such projects have on social, economic, and environmental quality of life across the globe.

This year, the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony took place on the evening of September 15, 2026, at the Andaz Delhi (by Hyatt) in New Delhi, India. FIDIC announced the winners of the prestigious 2026 awards, honoring 13 infrastructure projects from 11 countries with “Project of the Year” and “Highly Commended” distinctions. The event was attended by leaders and experts in engineering, construction, and infrastructure from around the world. Awards were presented across several categories: Small, Small-to-Medium, Medium-to-Large, Large, and Mega-projects.

The Quy Nhon – Chi Thanh Expressway project, designed by the Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI)—a member of the Vietnam Engineering Consultants Association (VECAS)—was honored with a “Highly Commended” award in the Large Project category. The project’s Client was Project Management Board 85 under the Ministry of Transport (now under the Ministry of Construction). Vietnam is consistently honored at these annual awards ceremonies, with projects frequently receiving recognition from FIDIC. This is a source of pride for TEDI, the award-winning entities, and the Vietnam Engineering Consultants Association, reflecting their achievements and contributions to national development and the global engineering consultancy sector.

Commenting on the results of the awards, FIDIC president Alfredo Ingletti said: “Many of the projects shortlisted this year have genuinely changed lives, transforming how communities access clean water, safe roads, reliable power and resilient cities. These awards exist because the work our industry does changes lives – and tonight, we’ve had the privilege of putting some of that extraordinary work in the spotlight.”
