The course “Overview and Principles for Effective Application of FIDIC Contracts; Typical Clauses in the FIDIC Red and Yellow Books 2017, amended 2022” organized by the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association in Hanoi (July 24-25, 2026) will cover the following main topics: an overview of the development process, structure, and key characteristics of FIDIC contract models; the mechanism for resolving construction contract disputes under FIDIC; differences with Vietnamese law on EPC contracts; and typical clauses in the General Conditions of Construction Contracts 2017 (Red Book) and the Conditions for Plant and Design – Build 2017 (Yellow Book) with the 2022 amendments of FIDIC.

In the training program, the Trainer emphasized FIDIC’s guidance on drafting Particulars Conditions and considerations regarding Vietnamese law. Combined with the study of provided sample contract documents, this helped trainees gain a better understanding and firmer grasp of these contract templates, facilitating their application. Furthermore, the instructors introduced the latest (2025) FIDIC guidance on carbon emission management, providing valuable knowledge for the participants.
